At Just IT we don’t need an excuse to have fun (poker night, anyone?!). But if we had to choose a reason? Well of course it’s raising thousands of pounds for the charities we love.

For the past six months we’ve been gambling, baking, dressing down, bucket collecting, dancing and in the case of one brave soul, jumping out of a plane, all in aid of The Down’s Syndrome Association.

We’re incredibly chuffed to have now passed our six month aim of £8,000! That’s pretty good going.

The DSA’s mission is to help people with Down’s Syndrome to live full and rewarding lives, and you can find out more about all their brilliant work here). These life-changers are the third charity we’ve supported in the last 18 months, and over that period we’ve raised a staggering £21,000 for our chosen organisations. We’re just delighted that we’ve been able to help in our own small way.

Every half a year we put the put the decision of which cause to support into the hands of our staff. We’re always inspired by the passion that they show for their nominated charities, and every time it’s a tough challenge selecting just one.

With our time supporting The DSA drawing to a close, next up we’re dedicating our time and efforts to the The Alzheimer’s Society. We look forward to making the next six months count!

From top right: gearing up for a night of charity poker, George from apprenticeships ready to jump out of a plane for the DSA, fancy dress for our Valentine’s and Funk+Soul themed days.
