Our managed service provider client is looking for an enthusiastic and skilled 1st line support engineer to join their growing team in East London Zone 1.

About The Role
Working directly with the Operations Manager, you will be part of the 1st line helpdesk whilst also dealing with technical support requests across the client base, liaising with other engineers and assisting with the maintenance of the clients’ networks.
The position will involve supporting desktops, laptops, flagging support request to other senior support engineer for servers and network equipment, and will also include some exposure to helping on project work and support of Citrix environments after passing probation. The successful candidate must have an eye for detail, the ability to work independently and as part of a team, great documentation skills and, importantly, the drive to progress one’s own career.
·Part 1st line help-desk team- ensuring SLAs are met
·Troubleshoot client support incidents, liaising with our clients over the phone, email, web-ex or on client site.
·Helping customers solve technical issues with their computers (hardware and software)
·Liaising directly with end users to resolve any problems
·Logging technical support requests over the telephone or by email
·Using remote control tools and technologies to assist end users as required
·Documenting systems and procedures as implemented for and on behalf of our customers
The successful candidate will ideally have at least 1 years’ experience in a similar technical support desk role and an added bonus if you have some exposure in supporting some of the following technologies:
·VMware vSphere, Microsoft Hyper-V
·Microsoft OS (2008/2012/W7/W8/W10) including associated hardware
·Microsoft Exchange and Office 365
·Network solutions including local area networks, wide area networks and associated hardware and technologies such as firewalls, routers, Wi-Fi solutions and network switches and cabling.
·Network storage solutions
·Citrix XenApp, Xen Desktop, NetScaler, XenMobile
·Windows Desktop including:
oExchange and Office 365
oActive Directory, Group Policy and networking (DHCP, DNS)
·Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
·IT Helpdesk experience
·Planning and implementation
·Excellent customer facing experience
·Excellent telephone manner
·Good documentation and record keeping
