Our exclusive IT Services and Cloud provider client is looking for a 1st/2nd Line Engineer who can provide outstanding customer service and enjoys working on tricky IT issues with the support of a great team in Central London.
You will need to be a strong 1st/2nd Line Engineer keen to work in a business where technology means everything. You will need to be assertive, bright and passionate about IT. Having the ability to learn new technologies and work within a challenging and exciting environment is key. As well as excelling in customer service, you will be technical and keen to stretch your skills
ABOUT THE ROLE:
The role of 1st/2nd line Service Desk Engineer will require you to work closely with the Technical Manager to ensure service offering fits the needs of the business and is to the level required. In addition, you will be responsible for the day to day supervision and management of the service desk including:
*Prioritise and manage many open cases at one time, whilst maintaining Service Level Agreements, informing management of re-occurring problems & trends
* Test, Evaluate and Support, the roll-out of new applications & technology
*Desktop and application support.
*Server and network support.
*Configuration and installation.
*Providing second line support to speedster customers who are based all over the uk.
*Traveling to client sites for onsite engineering work.
*Atleast 2 years’ experience in an IT environment
*Experience with switches and networking hardware, TCP/IP and troubleshooting network issues.
*VMWare Virtualisation products including ESX Server and VCenter Server and/or Hyper V
*SAN technologies and NAS storage solutions
*Windows Server Active Directory infrastructure.
*Supporting user base of networked Windows 7/8/10 computers and Apple MAC.
*Office 365 support and management
*Understanding of wireless networks
*Understand of azure cloud hosting
