Want to be a tech leader in a well-known educational institution?
A Banner Developer is needed to grow, maintain and create in the Virtual Learning division across a well-known and established educational institution. You will be responsible for managing the development team and lead key implementation plans in line with business requirements.
You will work on identifying the business context and analysis the IT environment to detect critical deficiencies and recommend the correct solutions for these ensuring that they stay up to date with the latest trends within in the sector.
The key part of the role will be to define, manage and plan to fulfill the needs of the business to deadlines. You will also be working with the team to maintain the continuing development of deployed solutions and ensure the implementation of the IT Strategy is fully cost effective.
-Experience: Typically at least three years of experience working with and supporting Banner software implementations in a project environment.
-Student module (SSB) and INB experience required, preferably covering versions 8 and 9.
-Workflow, ODS and Degree Works experience desired.
-Financial Aid Module experience preferred.
-UC4 software experience desired.
-Must have solid understanding of database concepts and be comfortable with writing ad-hoc database queries including PL/SQL.
-Knowledge of basic Unix/Linux commands and shell scripting.
-Experience working with Apache, Tomcat, Oracle Application server, and/or other application servers.
-Working knowledge of Java beneficial.
-Familiarity with development and continuous integration tools like Eclipse, Bamboo, Maven, Ant, etc.
-Experience with version control software such as CVS or SVN.
-Experience with both traditional SDLC and Agile best practices.
-Experience working on large-scale, enterprise level projects.
-Understanding of SOA Infrastructure.
-Working knowledge of ETL concepts, actual experience a plus.
-Aware of industry and professional standards (e.g. ISO 9001).
You will need to be someone who is driven, who is able to approach problems analytically and solve them with a strategic perspective to help maintain high standards to the range of tasks you will be responsible for. You also need to be of strong character and a natural leader or influencer.

About the rewards
