Front-End Developer | Entertainment Industry | Central London | Up to £40,000 p/a

Are you passionate about front-end development and would you like to work in the entertainment industry? This role offers you both!
We are looking for a Front-end Web Developer to join our client’s newly created in-house digital agency. You will work with UI/UX designers to bridge the gap between graphical design and technical implementation, taking an active role on both sides and defining how the application looks as well as how it works.
Role Responsibilities:
·Develop new user-facing features
·Build reusable code and libraries for future use
·Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs
·Optimize application for maximum speed and scalability
·Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders
Skills & Experience:
Essential:
·2-4 year’s web front end development experience ideally in a commercial and e-commerce organisation.
·Excellent development skills and experience including
·Proficient understanding of web mark-up, including HTML5, CSS3
·Basic understanding of server-side CSS pre-processing platforms, such as LESS and SASS
·Proficient understanding of client-side scripting and JavaScript frameworks, including jQuery
·Good knowledge of Angular / Knockout / ReactJs
·Good understanding of asynchronous request handling, partial page updates, and AJAX
·Excellent communication, team-working and organisational skills.
·Good interpersonal, communication and relationship building skills.
·Excellent command of the English language, both spoken and written.
Desirable:
·Experience delivering Umbraco CMS based solutions
·TDD coding principles are beneficial.
·Experience in a transactional, consumer eCommerce/digital environment
·Familiarity with tools such as Gimp or Photoshop is a plus.
·Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git
·Development experience using Visual Studio IDE.
