About the Role
This position of IT Desktop Support Analyst is responsible for providing Level 1 to 2 support for all UK based employees (approx. 55 staff), the successful applicant will be working within in a group of 60 globally within the IT and projects teams
·Provide primary Level 1 to 2 support to local users for standard applications (Google Business Apps, ERP, File-print, internet, ESXI, Citrix etc.) and infrastructure with emphasis on responsiveness and resolution.
·Maintain patching and documentation to enable support of these technologies effectively to ensure that other within the IT Group can effectively support the business in their absence.
·Complete administration process of all additions, changes and access to IT resources (Leavers, on-boarding, moves and changes of staff).
·Implement and enforce global IT standards and policies adoption ensuring technology standards are adhered to and observed. Accountable for 100% compliance with policies.
·Coordinate local outsourcing of services when required, and escalates support to vendor as needed. Evaluate and manage vendor delivery of contracted services.
·Coordinate the local procurement of hardware if required, and works with global support team to define the needs and manage budgets.
·Responsible for UK infrastructure disaster recovery processes (daily data backups, data restorations, checking logs, validating Test/DR environments, etc.). Assures the interface with the business for business continuity vs Disaster recovery
·Installation and management of inventory, upgrades software and hardware throughout UK.
·Configure and monitor all critical production systems.
The ideal candidate will be someone who possesses:
·4+ years or above technical hands on experience in 2nd (with some exposure to 3rd line being beneficial) line support – having worked with ticketing systems in previous roles.
·Experience in delivering user, service desk, software and printer support within Windows environment (building, managing, installing and supporting PCs, laptops, periphals, software and providing desktop support to users).
·Solid understanding and working knowledge of Infrastructure components
·Good understanding and working knowledge of Windows oS and Office 2010, Active Directory, Linux, Anti-virus and firewall knowledge with knowledge of Citrix and Google Business Apps would be an advantage
·Technical certifications (e.g., CCNA, Microsoft, etc.) or equivalent knoweldge required.
·Knowledge of LAN/WAN configurations and topologies with familiarity troubleshooting networking equipment and TCP/IP.
·Mobile device support and deployment.
·Able to excel in idea generation, evaluation, and prioritization, customer and partner engagement, cross-functional technical program management.
