Are you an IT enthusiast looking for a super fantastic role?
We are looking for a fantastic 1st Line Support Engineer for an opportunity based in the heart of London. With a diverse range of people and various technologies to work with, this is a role which will never get boring.
*To adopt a proactive approach in providing ICT support and advice to staff
*To respond to ICT support requests in a timely fashion, ensuring minimum disruption of day-to-day company activities
*To be available for weekly on call-rota
*To record accurately and prioritise support requests, outcomes, risks and time taken in the ticketing system
*Enforce and maintain the company’s security policies, report any suspected breaches
*Maintenance of hardware, software and network
*Install and upgrade systems and application software as required, adhering to licensing regulations, company policies and best practice
*To install, maintain, improve and repair a wide range of ICT equipment (phones, laptops, desktops, tablets, printers, projectors, sound systems, routers, servers..)
*To maintain the hosting and Dev environments (VMWare 5.5/6.0, Windows Server 2012, Linux, FreeBSD, IBM BladeCenter, Dell Blade servers)
*To keep the company network, basic troubleshooting
*To troubleshoot and fix problems, relating to the malfunctioning of ICT equipment including software
*Perform preventive maintenance duties on items in ICT hardware
*Monitor and keep a log of all breakdowns to the network
*Maintain company AD and Office 365 email system
*Assist/maintain the telephone system based on 3CX servers and Cisco phones
*Ensure access policy for staff to data and files is implemented
*Follow backup, virus protection and security procedures, note risks to ICT systems
*Assist and cooperate with the corporate Department on:
-computer and hard disks recycling, arranging for the safe disposal of the same
-inventory of computer hardware and software (including licenses)
*Monitor and maintain general ICT consumable stock
