Network & Support Engineer – Central London- Up to £40k

Are you ready to advance your technical skills in a fun, young, vibrant and innovative company? Our client is looking for a hands-on tech support Engineer who provides outstanding customer service and enjoys working on tricky IT issues with the support of a great team in London. You will be providing 2nd line support to their venue teams across London and regionally for both in-house services and the services to our clients.

ABOUT YOU

You will need to be a candidate who is keen to work hard and progress. As well as excelling in customer service, you will be technical and keen to stretch your skills with the support of a great team. You will need to possess great communication and customer-facing people skills. You will need the ability to liaise with the venues staff/management to enact resolution and keep up-to-date with IT and Audio-visual developments. You will be participating in meetings, including company away days and staff briefings.

Key Responsibilities

·Provide 1st/2nd line support to all our users
·Interfacing (or acting for) with the third line and third-party support
·Prompt attention to incidents so that they are dealt with promptly or escalated
·Installing and configuring computer hardware, software, systems, printers, etc
·Provide timely support and fault finding for hardware and software, chase down outstanding jobs and project work
·Pro actively investigate, diagnose and solve computer software and hardware faults
·Share in the routines of daily checks of applications, systems and backups.
·Build, manage and maintain appropriate documentation for all orders
·Supporting IT team new venue implementation projects
·Ensure that all PCs’ are up-to-date with the latest security updates and Antivirus signatures
·Diagnosing and resolving technical issues, looking for trends and opportunities to improve systems and processes
·Experience of helpdesk systems, call logging, escalation and progress chasing/call closure routines and feedback
·Undertaking small to medium-sized projects as directed by the IT Manager
·Provide desktop, Citrix, AV and telephony support
·Setting up and configuring new laptops and desktops
·Ensuring security and upgrades are applied to desktops and laptops
·Completing internal user moves including phones
·Ensuring licensing for all software purchased is recorded and maintained
·Setting up new users and disabling expired accounts
·Performing essential administrative support duties as required
·Working at any of our venues providing support to our staff and clients
·Providing assistance as necessary to the IT manager and broader large-scale projects
·Ensuring that a high level of customer service and support is provided to all internal and external customers
·Monitor the availability and status of connectivity/infrastructure services and addressing issues where appropriate
·Participate in on-call rota as required
·Booking in of received stock
·Stock and inventory control and monitoring
