IT Project Manager – Medical Industry – Central London – £45,000 p.a

My client represents more than 50,000 medical professionals worldwide. They provide an invaluable professional network, opportunities to share best practice and ongoing educational opportunities.
Their purpose is to support delivering core shared services to support the training, examination, and continual development of medical professionals.

Role responsibilities

·Ensure effective management, planning and delivery of a number of defined academic system transformation projects.
·Play a central role in developing projects, including identifying new opportunities, strategy development, sourcing funding, and business planning.
·Work closely with the business analysts to manage the full and active engagement of stakeholders across projects, ensuring the delivery of new systems are aligned with Federation and college operational requirements.
·Lead effective communication and collaboration with stakeholders to promote the outputs of the projects across the Federation and colleges.
·Deliver on the project communications plans, including building communities of interest, expert reference groups, writing articles or updates, and developing project web pages and resources as appropriate.
·Manage robust and effective governance processes for agreed projects, ensuring decisions are made or escalated where necessary and projects maintain momentum.
·Build and maintain collaborative partnerships and networks with individuals and other organisations.
·Take responsibility for the day-to-day management and delivery of the agreed projects, including identification of emerging risks and issues, reporting on progress to the project funders, and managing project budgets.
·Produce, manage, maintain and archive all documentation pertaining to projects, e.g. meeting agendas and minutes, reports, contracts.
·Work with the digital transformation programme board to ensure adequate reporting into internal governance structures.

·Degree educated or evidence of significant project management experience
·Project Management skills – ability to prepare a complex and detailed project plan and control process to achieve the objectives of the project/s, which may require adjustment of the project plan
·Experience of one or more major digital transformation projects
·Demonstrated ability to take responsibility to drive forward to completion, complex and substantial projects that involve a range of stakeholders
·Outstanding communication, influencing and interpersonal skills – ability to deal effectively with a broad range of people from differing professional backgrounds to ensure successful delivery of projects
·Effective at building solid and mutually respectful relationships across an organisation, demonstrating good working relationships to deliver on project deadlines.
·Evidence of success in engaging with and motivating different individuals and groups to achieve a common goal
