Senior Helpdesk/Systems Administrator – Central London – up to £80,000 p/a

We are looking for an ambitious and experienced Senior Helpdesk Engineer for an exciting and unique investment firm. You will be joining their global team and will have the opportunity to work on IT projects and contribute towards enhancing and developing the IT provision across the business. With various technologies to work with, this is a role which will never get boring.

You will have strong knowledge of and possess the following key competencies:

·VMware VSphere
·General Market Data Installation and troubleshooting (Bloomberg & Reuters)
·Microsoft Windows Server 2008/2012
·Microsoft Exchange and general messaging security
·Active Directory Group Policy Objects
·File system directory and security configuration/administration
·Mobile messaging technologies including Good for Enterprise, and Mobile Iron
·Microsoft SQL and SQL Clustering
·Powershell scripting and process automation
·SAN Storage technology, specifically HP, Dell EqualLogic, EMC-iSCSI
·At least five years experience Financial Services industry experience


As a Senior Helpdesk Engineer/Systems Administrator at this level, you will share responsibility for the day to day operations of the enterprise infrastructure, implementation and maintenance of server and network, voice equipment, as well as providing desktop support for all local and remote users. You will be capable of accomplishing company goals by accepting ownership for varying requests and exploring new opportunities to add value. The candidate must be Reliable, Polished, and Personality must mesh with the Global Team.


I am currently recruiting for an award-winning and leading investment firm. Their focus is on distressed, deep-value opportunities where they typically take an active role in transactions, whether driving the financial restructuring of companies facing bankruptcy, on ad hoc or formal creditors’ committees, or leading operational improvement within a business. The firm has approximately 100 employees, including 37 investment professionals, across its main offices in New York, London, Frankfurt and Tokyo. My client works with a diverse range of customers and is currently testing out new technologies so the environment is challenging and the days will vary.

Based in Mayfair, this college has an excellent location as you will be working in the heart of London with excellent facilities and opportunities abound.
