Software Developer / Central London / £25,000 – £40,000

Our client is looking for a Software Developer ranging from Junior to Mid Level. You will be expected to design your solutions to complex problems. You won’t be dropped in the deep end immediately, and you will get as much or as little help as you need. However, you will be expected to produce quality code that works.

So if you like complex problems and you like producing elegant code, then this is the job for you!

The Role:

You will be given the freedom to use the latest technologies and explore new .NET features. If there are any .NET features we don’t currently use, you will be given the opportunity to research and use them.
There are no significant overheads when it comes to documenting changes; the emphasis is on coding, not writing detailed change reports.
You will be writing code for the clients proprietary software. It’s a social intranet platform used by blue-chip clients to manage digital assets, improve collaboration, learning and innovation. Their sites allow them to create dynamic layouts – they don’t build simple, static websites. This isn’t a maintenance role. Platform updates are pushed to production every two weeks on average.
You will be working with a small team of talented developers, designers and producers. You should prefer the variety and hands-on approach of small companies to the structure and rigidity of big organisations.

Skills:

·ASP.NET 4.6 in C#
·HTML, CSS and JAVASCRIPT
·SQL Server
·jQuery (desirable but not essential).

Marketing, digital agency experience and knowledge of Sharepoint might be advantageous but is not a pre-requisite.

However, you should:

·Be self-motivated and enthusiastic
·Be keen to learn new technologies
·Be confident enough to be exposed to real projects.

If this seems like the opportunity for you, drop me an email at timothyl@jitr.co.uk for further details!
