The client is a fully accredited insurance broker to one of the largest financial firms in the world. The key areas which they specialise in are Transportation and Heavy Equipment; they cover physical damage and all warranty related issues. The client is known for their excellent service to their clients, and their portfolio does speak for itself.
About the Role
The role is to support the IT Infrastructure at the client’s office. You will be working directly with the Systems Manager where you will be able to learn and develop your skillset. Please find below some of the responsibilities.
Duties and Responsibilities
·Point of contact for IT system issues
·To act as a contact for the client for any IT issues
·To raise tickets and liaise with our IT company for all issues that they are unable to resolve, to prioritise tickets where necessary
·To keep track of open tickets with our IT company, chasing where necessary, to escalate with the Systems Manager where needed
·To monitor SLAs with our IT company
·To create and maintain, a new starter and leaver system
·Once an approved new starter system is in place, to develop new starters and disable leavers on the applicable systems internally and ensure all IT programmes are ready for the start date or disabled once a user has left the company
·To ensure a PC or laptop is ready for the start date
·To audit and ensure that all electronic devices are registered to the correct user
·To ensure that all electronic devices are registered to the correct user with the current IT Supplier and other companies as needed
·General IT tasks
·To conduct general IT tasks in both offices
·To manage current service providers, and to seek out new service providers as requested by the Systems Manager
·To take ownership of projects as requested by the Systems Manager
·And any other duties as deemed necessary by the company
The ideal candidate will be someone enthusiastic, eager to learn and someone with excellent attention to detail. As you will be working on projects and other IT duties, some experience would be necessary. Experience with Microsoft Office and Office 365 would be required as the necessary knowledge; the rest will be technologies that you will learn to work with.
